The CHP are running on used cooking oil, fat and plant oil as palm oil, rape seed oil and so on. As these fuels contain practically no sulphur as well as possess good lighting and burning properties, the CHP emit fewer harmful substances than plants using fossil fuels. Furthermore the use of vegetable oil as well as cooking oil is CO² neutral if used as an energy source for power production. The electrical energy is inducted into the power supply system as eco-electricity. The extracted heat is used for the local heating supply as well as for a drying unit. |
